3492 years young and still got all my own hair.
Suffering from a few stiff joints now though the
same as my dad. I've got a picture of him somewhere
and do you know what, "He's older than me"!

Yes 1957 was a good year. I tell my kids, my birth on Oct. 3rd was celebrated by the start of the space age on Oct. 4. I'm not sure I have them totally convinced though.

Yup....I would be another alumni of the class of '57.
54-1/2 myself.
It was a very fine year indeed for the ol' kittyman.

"I'm so old, that 98% of all trees in the forest, are younger than I am"

I worked for the forestry commission here in UK for 20 years so i have planted tens of thousands of the things, (and then years later went back and felled some of them for chrismas trees)
I planted a Yew tree in my back garden many years ago (i `found` it in my bag when i got home one day......) they grow so slowly i recond it would be ok and not get too big before i moved house, well after being here five days short of 29 years its got big in my little garden.

As far as age go`s last november the oldest of our family died at the not so young but still able to get about and do things age of 100 years and five months and did get a letter of congratulations from the Queen for reaching 100 [you have to ask for them]
Dad is a rather shakey 85, alzhimers has`nt left much of him for us to talk to.
Mum doing well for 82 so long as she dosent fall again and break something else.
Bro and Sis 4 and 2 years more than the baby of the family, Me, at a mear 51, so i may be over the half way mark but so long as i `avoid that bus, what bus??, splat` kind of thing, i have got a lot of crunching years left in me yet, (pun not intended :¬)

I am two months older than you, Aug, 1949. I have been on SSD for three years now. Since I was born with Spina Bifida I figure I saved the government thiry eight years of having to support me due to dogged stubbornness and my desire to support myself.
