Uh Chris - that reminded me of the martyrs and torture museeum at Assisi. After that you know why a guillotine was thought humane...

It does, however, snow in England upon occasion. It really does not matter at which end of the trip the airport is closed. It still ruins the trip.

Precisely. I'm not worried about snow in Egypt - it won't snow there, but snow here is looking possible and would mean there is a risk I can't leave the UK. Might have to stock up with food in the freezer in case I'm not able to fly out and am stuck here for Christmas anyway (that really would suck though!).

You might be able to wish it would snow and close the Bristol International after the 24th, and then you cannot get back. Would that grab you better?

Posting while not using that particular word. So let see what alternatives I can find. I am victorious, I beat you, I prevail, I am triumphant, I conquer, I edged you out, I score... any other ideas?

It would look like this, UIM, But somehow It doesn't get accepted or at least in xoferiF It doesn't.

Nancy wins!

Interesting, My Dad and I have similar tastes in music, Mostly, Not surprising really, I grew up with that music, While My Brother drifted away as He'd joined the Navy in '62, He was into Country Western. While It's not exactly CW, It was made by Kenny Rogers, Planet Texas and It is one of My favorites, But then I have fairly broad tastes in Music, With a only a few exceptions.
