Many may not agree, but in my honest opinion, it is not practical to run CPU only crunching any more. We NEED that ATI GPU app here ASAP. Seti get more work done, we spend less on electricity to supply that.

You're thinking in terms of electric cost per credit. However, that's not how you're billed every month; it's power * time. I'm pretty sure CPU+GPU power > CPU power.

You'd have to check out this website Here, A $30 electric bill is better than a $120 electric bill.

Well lets See the system would be Free for Me(I'd own It) as My income is very low and It would not be a subsidized system.

Maybe I don't get what You meant by a subsidized system, It would be installed on a house I'm looking at buying, Since the Photovoltaic panels that make up a system generate electricity during the day, I'd have a very small bill, Which is good and yes I'd still be attached to the grid and It would mean I wouldn't have to buy as much electricity as I used to.

I use seti for my primary heat source in the winter...
When I have everything going I usually end up with a $125 to $150 a month power bill. If I get down to two units crunching, like in the summer I can drop down to $85.

Ever since the Great Outage *lol* it's been kind of tough to keep the house warm when it gets down into the 20's (F). Some projects seem to have a limited amount of WU.

I think my cost is about 7.9 cents per Kw.

If I take a lot of long warm showers and bake a lot of pizza, I'm sure that can have a cumulative effect too.
