"The machine that was running the main BOINC database has become too unreliable to use. The backup server does not have the capacity to run the project on its own. The very good news is that we just ordered two new servers! One will be the new BOINC database server and the other will be the new back end science database server. Our capacity to both distribute and analyze our data will increase significantly with these new machines. While we prepare for these new servers and get them going once they arrive, the project will be down. Although no new work will be distributed, all outstanding work will be uploaded and credited. This web site and the forums will remain up for most of the remodeling period." In the technical news i read, that the new ordered Servers come in 2 weeks. You will the project down to this time? All my PC´s are dry since 1 week and i think the most users here too. Think the Staff that they don´t make more for the users that helps yours on the project? |

I'm down to nothing but CUDA WUs and I can only do one at a time . . . instead of two or four . . or five... Been farming out to other projects . . . seems like this happens every now and then. Curing cancer and growing virtual plants is still good science. |

I'm looking for a project which uses ATI cards, besides MW, Collatz C. or DNETC. You can compute a tremendous RAC at DNETC, but I don't find it interresting. And the way they use all (ATI) cards. Other 2 hosts are doing Einstein, GPUgrid, Docking, Leiden Classical and hmmm, still looking here also, but no hurry......... :) All SETI WU's reported and 3 and 1/2 QUAD's doing something else, hope the Forums will stay online. One month, we should 'survive' this :) |

Yep, Virtual Prairie is an interesting one ;-) VP has work? I need to re-attach before they're all gone. |
