is that coal or wood powered? Seriously, I think the lab can decide what they need best.

But this does seem to be winding down.. save up for the next one!!

How about a better cable up the hill? ;-)

Maybe the S@H Staff could comment on where the next fund raiser should target it's efforts? Perhaps network infrastructure, software, room cooling, other gear, is needing a refresh more than the remaining server hardware. Matt/Jeff/Eric, any thoughts? And thank you to you three and the other staff for the hard work!

Why not just keep this one going? The staff can re-purpose any extra money towards the next fire that needs put out.

Thank You All

Lest it be lost. Bruno which was, a server that was built by "You" the users: has been failing. A portion of the outages over the last 6-8 months were a result of Bruno being tired. In New/Used parts "You" the Users spent roughly $4000+ USD to build Bruno to get Seti out of a Hardware Crunch. It was almost a Seti Hardware Major Advancement. Bruno proudly replaced several machines. Those times were as tough, as what we are currently facing.

I would have to say that I have not been chasing Donations to Seti. I can say that Every Dollar (pick your curency) counts! Each Donations Counts!

In a private conversation that I had with Eric. It has confouned UCB that so many people with a simple $10 dollar donation can keep them so busy. I would say that it simply means that "You Can" have some Large Impact on the world. Each time we try, "we" keep moving things ahead. So finding the answer to ET (yes or no) is as much faith as we can put into the problem. Donations do not hurt in solving that problem.

Thank You

Regards

Al

Ok Byron, I have to know the method behind the madness! Myself, and I'm sure everyone else either directly working for the project or donating CPU cycles, greatly appreciate your constant donations, but I have to know the logic behind the amounts! If you don't want to share, that's completely understandable. I just wish I had the spare cashflow to donate like you!

:)) Welcome back Mark. Hope you and the Kitties are well. My wee adopted Calico is snoozing peacefully at the moment, after a riotous half hour chasing her toys across the study floor.

Mine are all fine.......even the elder Squirrel......her meds are working just purrrrrfectly and her thyroid levels are back to normal.
You enjoy your kitten. And give her a little extra special kitty love from the kittyman, eh?
