Always by percentage of the total transaction - and sometimes an additional per transaction fee too.

My business accepts credit cards and they all operate the same.
Todd

Universally both. First is a verification fee for checking that the card is good and giving the authorization number; the second is a percent of the transaction. There is also a minimum monthly fee but I'm sure that the Regents do more than the minimum.

That's what I thought. I just wanted to point out to Byron that Seti@home would get more out of his donations if he made one large donation instead of several small donations that totaled up to equal the large donation.

It's not like the credit card companies need the transaction verification fees to survive.

judging by his use of the word "probably" I'd say it's not a known fact.

Thank you Justin for working on this in my absence. Byron, I had to take the last stat from Justin, to be able to bring this up todate.

I do have a couple of questions. I just noticed Donald L. Johnson had two different donation confirmation numbers. So I am giving him the benefit of the doubt and add another $50 to his account.
Byron you show two different amounts in one of your posts. $105 and $125 I will take the higher figure, until I hear differently from you.

Uli, if it makes a difference, I donated $50 in September to the "Oscar" drive, and then $50 in October to the "Mork Replacement" drive. At one point we were keeping the tallies separate.

Once I get some of the bills paid down, I'll probably be back with another donation - before Christmas I hope.

Thank you Donald, that answers my question.

Yellow doesn't show up well, so how about red hot for Byron. I will make the changes tonight.
