Upon further reflection, I realized that this touched me more than I thought.

I posted this clip in a musical thread, and I now realize it is something so much more than that.

Chemo and other stuff......

I have bookmarked this clip in about a dozen places so I will always be able to find it when I lose all hope myself some dark night.

What I may or may not have mentioned over the years is that Lori is a throat cancer survivor, but still battles HCV, which we hope some day may find a cure.

She went through one round of chemo for it a few years back, which unfortunately did not succeed. Our prayer is that technology may one day soon find the miracle drug that can knock it out of her forever.

It's a nasty, nasty disease. Takes many years to rear it's head, and by then the damage has started and it is not going stop until it relentlessly kills you.
Lori has it stabilized for now, but her defenses can't hold it off forever without some help from medical technology.

We go on each day, hand in hand, hoping that some day the answer shall come.

I know that this may be impossible for some of you to understand if you have not been touched by it, but living in fear every single day is very hard.

About ten years ago, I was diagnosed with a Brain Tumour - it all started with, what I thought, was horrendous migraine, but for two weeks. Net result, chemo, radio and surgery (the surgery to remove a 'secondary' from the area near to the top of the spine). Afterwards, I attended my 'check-ups' almost religiously. After a couple of years, I cancelled all such appointments - my reason being, that I was not going to live in fear. I was going to take my chances, just like anyone else. I got sick and tired of all the worry between appointments. Alternatively, maybe I took the attitude that ignorance was bliss and just simply didn't want to know. Something is going to 'get me', one day. I'd just like the time between that and then, to be, a long time - unlike the Government!

There must be more users hers that have indidious diseases than would pulicly post hres.......you can PM me.........

Even if to bolster your confindence to come public.........

There is no shame. I have outed Lori......not sure she wanted me to, but there you have it. She and I go WAY back...........before she even knew she was HCV........Yeah, way back.

So, now you question my love for her.........

Don't change it.......don't rearrange it. It is just the same as before.....
We struggle all the time, mostly my fault. You all here have heard rumours of me excessive drinking.........she has experienced it.
And it is not pretty sometimes.

I only need to hear three words in this life..........And God gives me then every day, and my kitties as well........
You have all seen it.......Don't try to tell me you haven't.
I love you,

My life is gonna be short enough..........so I cry out loud when I want attention.

You have done well in the short time I have to give here.

Just give me the love I need while I am still here to appreciate it.

Meow. Yes, meow,,,,,,,

Have all the answers?

These are small ones, not the jackass questions pondered in the last game thread.

Simple things you must ask yourself when asked what you wish to do pondering the end of your life on this earth.

Silly thinge like that.

Some have a few answers.........I am afraid I do not........

Meow.
