I just got home from work and was looking through the message log. Looking at the time that happened, it was during the hour or two that everything was working.

Strange, I can't get in contact with severs on 3 PCs, anybody else getting through?

Maybe we have now a limit of results report?

≤ 10 results report - and BOINC can reach the scheduler?

I have currently (only) 18 and 160+ results ready for report (and thousands of backlogged ULs).. and my BOINCs can't reach the scheduler..

No limit.
In last hours my results queue is grow up from 0 to 4 results to report.

On this tread http://setiathome.berkeley.edu/forum_thread.php?id=61531&nowrap=true#1035816 i wrote that yesterday for few time scheduler and upload servers were up, my results were upload but no one of my complete wu's (tasks) was reported.

Now my transfer queue is composed by 5 results, complete wu's are 109, but no download.
In valid wu list there aren't this results, i think those wu's are "ghost".

@Dino: If you are saying that the WUs you Uploaded have not shown up on your Account/Valid Tasks list, that is as it should be. They will not show up as completed or even go to the Validator until they are Reported to the Scheduler. They are not "ghosts", they are stuck in the "waiting room" on the Upload Server.

Once the Scheduler is fixed, and we can Report completed WUs and get new ones, there will be a huge back-log of completed WUs to validate. It may take a full day or more for the validators to work through the pile. But those WUs that have been uploaded WILL get validated eventually.

Around here, patience is not just a virtue, it is a requirement.

Gah

I just tried to set one computer for "no new tasks". It had a small heart attack and all the files disappeared.

restarting it brought it back. But heart attack time!!

@donald: I only want to say: is a strange thing that upload servers start during the outage for an hour or two, and only for results, not also for wu's...
So, probably (i think, but i don't know...) if this was a problem, integrity of data is compromised. And strange thing is 89h w/o queries on master DB.

Even though I agree with it, that quote has got a few hairs sticking out of it's nostrils.

What happened to S@H being able to spread out storage amongst the clients? To my knowledge, that feature has never been used. There are countless petabytes of storage space available that they could use.
