OMG!!!

Amongst our mail today was a magazine called "Embellish". I thought i must have subscribed to it because I had thought about doing so a few months ago - I figured I'd forgotten.

As I was flicking through the mag, towards the back, I saw that a garment I had re-purposed was featured in their 'chop-shop' column, winning me a year subscription - WOW! I emailed photos of the garment to them months ago, and promptly forgot all about it.

I got such a surprise :-)

Congratulations, Magenta!...You deserve the attention for your excellent work!

At least you avoided McDonald's. That reconstituted artificial egg is worse than the War time powdered egg.

Good morning on a lovely sunny, cloudless and, ATM, windless day. Outside temperatures are currently -4C, and they hit -9C last night. No new snow dusting though, just sheet ice.

First snow was last night.

Our second dusting was last night as well, about 2". From the forecast I was expecting far worse.

Cannot say what it's like outside, we will find out later.

Good Morning All. It seems England has our snow and we have your rain.
Western PA is currently under a flood watch which will continue throughout the day.

My first post on the first day of summer.

And to celebrate summer I bought a new very red bicycle, a Ducati Panigale.

See a review here.

Mine looks like this with the black rims and cranks pic

Hi Mike... :-)

I spent my second last day at school doing an "eco-dyeing" workshop. I used leaves from many plants, flowers, onion skins, and various metals - rusty and non-rusty, all tied together in different ways to dye silk and wool.

I will post some pics soon.

The results are quite amazing :-)

Interesting cuppa coffee made from snow and instant, but cold.

I've heard of iced tea, but snow coffee?
