Firstly dyed in the "mokume" style (Japanese for woodgrain) with yellow dye. Rinsed and dried, and then clamped between two "flower-shaped" pieces of pine ("itajame" style) and dyed with a combination of magenta, turquoise, and a whisper of black. The dye bath and wet cloth looked awful...I thought I'd stuffed it up. However, when I dried it I could see that it was actually quite nice. Special thanks to Monday for cutting out shapes for me with his dewalt jigsaw :-) je suis qui je suis ID: 1042848 ·
