A friend of mine gave me some Red Stripe a few years ago, and I liked it. Today another friend gave me some Red Hook Blond Ale, and I like that too! Heck, there have only been a few beers that I have tried, and didn't like. Beer is good... mmmmmmmmm

I have met a few beers that I really did not care for. For example I really dislike Red Dragon (who had the brainstorm that generated a sticky sweet stout?).

I hear yah John. All those honey ales and fruit beers are a waste of perfectly good barley and hops, in my opinion.

honey belongs in Mead, not in ale.

I admit.. I like a "sweet" beer. But not an artificially sweet beer. Usually
to me that means :: easy on the hops and beer, and a lager yeast.

My apologies for intruding but I've discovered something you may perhaps need to consider. Usually I put the beer in the fridge and the rum in the freezer; and after work when I run out of both I start on 'other stuff'. This time it is "Pimms", a british drink ... . Well, imagine my disappointment in the 'minute-of-need' when I go to the freezer and find the Pimms frozen SOLID. Now I have to move on to the Jack Daniels, which is horrid, and all because they didn't put the "do not freeze" warning label on the Pimms. I'm sorry, but there aughta be a law ... .

Since the Barkeep has been absent, you got to pick your own John.

Good! The wife is on the phone, so it is easier to sneak past and grab a fresh one! :)

Unrelated, am sure...

Beer, culture ....

Obviously related, in my opinion.

The beer is cheaper in the long run.

Just don't drink the beer while you are reading the Caption the Picture thread. Sometimes the combination is hard on keyboards when the beer comes through the nose
