The other thread was getting a bit long, so here is the next version. Keep on drinking!

This morning when I was on the way to work, I merged between a Heineken and a Budweiser truck! I gave them directions to my house! :)

Bartender, please recommend a night cap that does not taste medicinal, yet will cure my insomnia?

Minty hot cocoa.... your favorite hot cocoa with a bit of peppermint schnaps.

edit: ooops... don't forget some whipped creme on top.

Don't schnaps pack an energy boosting sugar punch?

Whoo! I have to function in the morning. Maybe I'll just pop a Benadryl instead.

I, of course, never touch the stuff. However I do occasionally rub my neck with it from the inside to ward off elbow pimples.

baldriac and hops - some beer should work.
and second generation anti histamines usually don't make you that sleepy anyway.

Reminds me of when I tried to test the time honoured recipe of milk with honey... Before I couldn't sleep because I was too nervous. aftr I couldn't sleep because of the milk taste (I hate pure milk).

And I would think it would be incredibly tedious milking a bee.

I think it's Theobromine (xantheose), but the effect is almost the same ;-)

Any of the fortified wine products work well for me, varied to suit taste and weather.

Port is my favorite in the winter, brandy or cognac in warmer weather. My wife likes Martini Rossi and all its imitators, but they are a little too sweet for my taste. However, you can cut it with a little lemon juice and/or soda water.

Timing is critical. You can't just knock back one of these, lie down, and expect to sleep. You need to develop a ritual, different for everyone, that involves sipping the night cap, something not too taxing to wind down the brain (good book, Sudoko, reading this Forum - but NOT number crunching!), and then to bed.
