I'm a little concerned about letting more people down as this wouldn't be the first time I would have had to detach and loose tasks You don't have to detach! Just do a repair install after copying the data directory back in. Gruß, Gundolf Computer sind nicht alles im Leben. Yes you should be OK if you take a copy of the Boinc folders. Then nuke the machine, reload with XP, re-install Boinc but don't connect to any projects. Then copy the old folders back over the clean install. If it all goes wrong, it's not the end of the world if wingmen need to wait for jobs to be re-issued,. They don't actually miss out on credits, they just get delayed. Ian |

Hey all got a good one Got my laptop disk replaced and its got vista rather than xp on it - I need to downgrade my lappy from vista to xp due to several programs and my mobile broadband not working on it with vista. Now then I have seti running on this machine and several tasks to report which aint a problem I can hang on until tonight to report them. I have several tasks outstanding is this as a simple as copying the program data\boinic directory to its new home on the xp install? I'm a little concerned about letting more people down as this woudnt be the first time I would have had to detach and loose tasks D |
