Hello,

Recently there's a problem in our team's page: http://setiathome.berkeley.edu/team_display.php?teamid=139826

As you may see, there's no "Join this team" button.
It was active before and we didn't edit or change any configuration, but I double checked the team preferences to make sure "Accept new members" is checked.
I also tried to disable and re-enable the feature, but it didn't help.

Any help or advice would be appreciated.

Thank you,
Arash

Hello,

I didn't see a button either, but the "Join this team" link was visible and active for me :-)

Did you try to force-reload your browser cache? (Ctrl-F5 with IE)

Gruß,
Gundolf

Thanks for response Gundolf,

Yes I meant link too, sorry. But I still can't see the link.

Not only I cleared the IE's cache, I even tried several other browsers with no pre-cache of the page.
I've tried Opera, Firefox, Chrome, and Safari…, didn't help.
I asked some of my friends in other countries to check the page, they have same problem.
But we all can see the "Join this team " link on other teams pages.

So if some people can see the link but others can't, I guess it would be a server side problem.

Thank you

I'm not quite sure, but I believe that you can see that link only if you are not member of the team!

Of course you can't see the "Join this team" link, as you are already on the team. So what's the use then of you needing the option to join again?

So the link is only visible to people not on your team.

And those people then in other countries?
Well, do they have a Seti account, were they logged in and are they not on your team? If the answer to that is all yes, then they would see the link.

You do not see the link when:
- You're not logged in.
- You're already on the team.

Thank you guys, problem solved.

So only logged in people on other teams or those they didn't join a team, are able to see the Join link.

Thanks again for your time and helpful responses :)
