Well, I finished my one beer! Oh my goodness! I knew I was missing something, but Yeeeeee Hawwwww! Keep on drinking! Glad to have you aboard! Heck they need spell check on these boards. It might hide my loopiness! Of course I would never dream of speaking anything negative while I'm drinking. Drinking is fun, and no reason for controversy. I have walked away from bar fights in the past because I was there for fun, not fighting. I trained in martial arts for many years, but fun is fun! Sorry for the ramble, but I'm having an excellent time, and have nothing but good to wish on everyone! Steve Steve Warning, addicted to SETI crunching! Crunching as a member of GPU Users Group. Well I drank my last Red Stripe this morning. Not a bad beer at all. Im just wondering if the real Jamaican beer is better? I am about to be forced into another drought. My father is coming to visit me next weekend, and I can't let him know I drink. He thinks I'm an alchoholic even though I'm not. Years ago I told him I quit drinking, which solved a lot of problems, but I have to hide the beer when he is here, while he drinks his Scotch. Tomorrow is my last chance to go to the dump, and hide the evidence of beers gone by. I have a whole 30 pack that I will have to hide until he leaves. Rats! Steve Warning, addicted to SETI crunching! Not to get personnel but how much scotch does he drink while he visits you? About half a bottle each night. The story is as follows. About 20 or 25 years ago, I was down in Nags Head North Carolina with some of my friends from New Hampshire. We were staying at my fathers beach cottage out on the back deck drinking beer. My father was there with his wife (now deceased), and everyone was having a great time. I had come in for another beer, and he told me I was drinking too much. I ignored him, and went back outside with my friends. Over the next hour he kept ragging me and ragging me. Finally I had had enough, and blew up. I started cursing, and yelling back at him. I quickly calmed down, and went back outside with my friends. One of my friends who really is an alchoholic told me that perhaps I had better stop drinking. I exploded again as there was no sign of a problem before the bantering began. I slammed my beer down on the deck, recovered, and cleaned it up calmly. My father was convinced I was a raging alchoholic, so I told him I quit drinking. He was delighted, and has told me ever since how proud he is that I stopped drinking, and that if I hadn't I would never amount to much. Well I am a software engineer, database deveolper, and master technician, and I've been enjoying a few beers ever since. When he visits, I just drink coke as he squashes down the Scotch. Oh well!
