Can I move to Canada and become a customs agent? I would not mind "destroying" some of those..
Edit:
Oh, make some friends across the river.. I have seen many New York sites selling similar. Just bring it in at allowable quantities.

What I do object to is.. Canadians bought the Lemon Hart brand, and promptly discontinued the 151 demerrara rum!! *sob*

There was a mind boggling documentary on CBC television a few years back, about what they do with confiscated booze from the border these days. It appears that booze is considered a "toxic waste", and they can't dump it down the sink anymore, or send it to landfills. They showed a shot of a top-secret warehouse "somewhere in Canada". Picture the warehouse scene at the end of Raiders of the Lost Ark", but all the boxes say Seagrams, Jack Daniels, Molsons, etc. Enough to make a grown man cry.

And the reporter thought of the obvious question, but the booze companies won't let the government sell this stuff. Apparently at least some of the labels and packaging are counterfeit.

OK, back form the road trip, chores done, first beer popped. Didn't make it all the way to the microbreweries, but stopped in at a well stocked beer store on the way home, to try some old favorites and a couple of new ones.

First the bad news. A locally produced Green Apple Pilesner is pretty disgusting. Way too sweet, tastes like carbonated apple juice. Even my wife, who loves Strongbows, didn't like this one.

And now the good news. Found some 10W30, it is hard to get without going direct to the brewery. And it was as good as ever. Just a little light in flavour for a dark ale, but oh so smooth. Relatively low gas, for a North American product. Beautiful roasted malt nose and after taste. Still a strong favorite.

Sheesh and all I had last night was Blue Moon, it was good but had too many. Will be a Blue moon before I drink them again. Coffee, please.

I live by two simple rules.

Don't eat yellow snow.

Don't drink yellow beer.

Amen.

Actually, there is some yellow beer that is quite good (none of it made by major brewing companies in the US though). Pilsner Urquil and Staraphonen come to mind (pilsners made in pilsn).

The can or the beer ?

At first, the beer. After a half dozen or so, the beer AND the can.

I remember having green beer in a pub in Munich, I think it was named Gunther O'Mallys (or something like that).

apropos 'berlin' & 'green'

you HAVE TO test this german beer! its called "berliner weisse mit schuss"

this is a special beer, u drink it normaly at hot summerdays in big glasses, with either green-sirup inside called "waldmeister" or with red-sirup called "himbeer"!

i prefer the waldmeister ;) the brewery is called "berliner kindl", situated in berlin/germany!

Never had Kirin Ichiban. Don't think they made it when I was there. I preferred Orion though. Pronounced Ohr-E-on which peeved the Navy crew when I hitched a ride on one of their P-3 Orions.

Relaxing with an ice cold Bud Light, in a bottle of course. Don't know why, I just can't stand the taste of beer out of a can.

I agree. Bottles are OK for drinking outside, it makes it easier to keep the bugs out (use your thumb). Otherwise, I prefer a glass.

Yeah, a glass is better, but I'll take it out of a bottle before I drink it out of a can. LOL
