I have had at least 3 work unit uploaded back to seti, but the results server still has the work units mark as in progress. Also, the files are still in my projects directory. I thought that they were supposed to be in the slots directory. Is there a bug in the new boinc client ?? Keith J. Schultz schultzk@uni-trier.de |

The WUs will only be uploaded when the client contacts the server for new WUs. Nevertheless you can manually update by typing in Terminal: /Path_to_SETI-BOINC_folder/boinc_4.13_powerpc-apple-darwin -update_prefs http://setiathome.berkeley.edu ![]() |

Hi Maritn, I was not talking about my prefs! Boinc-seti finished calculating the work units and uploaded the results to seti without error. When I go to the results page on seti it does not seem to have any knowledge of the uploads. Also, in the mean time my machine has requested new work units(download) and recieved them. What I would expect is that seti would show sucess for the uploaded WUs. > The WUs will only be uploaded when the client contacts the server for new WUs. > Nevertheless you can manually update by typing in Terminal: > > /Path_to_SETI-BOINC_folder/boinc_4.13_powerpc-apple-darwin -update_prefs > http://setiathome.berkeley.edu > > > Keith J. This is being transfered the next time you contact the server in order to either update the preferences or download new WUs. Don't ask me why, but that's the way it is. ![]() |

The results are uploaded when they are ready, but they appear on your result page, and the processed WUs are thrashed on your computer only when you contact the server -generally for downloading new Wus, or with an update_prefs command. That can take a few days if gave a a large "contact server" delay in your prefs. |
