That really was an exciting game with plenty of good opportunities for both sides.

There you go, Mike.

I told you that your pessimism was misplaced about your team's chances for today's game!!

It is us going home tomorrow after a bit of a thrashing.

Prima Donnas the lot of them, just like the French.
It's good to be back amongst friends and colleagues

Yup, Germany played a very good game. They outran the English to score those goals.

Yeah, That seems to be the case, Although that African team seems unstoppable, for the moment at least.

Spanish speaking teams or Latinos teams are going strong against English speaking teams. Is this a trend? (barring Italy and France. of course).

Spain is making History!
It is the first time in our history that the national spanish football team enters a world semifinal match. The next great milestone is winning this competition (the semifinal match against Germany) and now plays the final match against the Dutch (The Netherlands).
None of them have ever won a final, although the Dutch already played once against Germany a final game, I think. So both are willing and able to perform a splendid game.
Unfortunately I did not watch all the games, so I cannot say much about the dutch team, but the spanish team is playing really good and judging their last performances and statistics and having a glimpse into History, I can only think about a winner: Spain, of course.
It is curious, but two of the best players from the Netherlands are playing now in Spain with "Real Madrid".
Anyway, the best player/team should win.

A last comment I could not resist:
we won again the Germans with the same score as in the European Championship two years ago in Vienna, Austria.
It was not a lucky strike, it seems to me now.

Is it all oveR yet? Can I come out now?

It is not over yet!
The final game will be on Sunday 11th of July in the evening (local time)
Very interesting is the fact that the origins of South Africa as a state is related to the Netherlands and the Boers.
Afrikaans (which is similar to the Dutch) is a co-official language in South Africa, the same as it is English and Zulu.

According to Wiki there are 11 official languages in South Africa, plus a number of non official ones.

I would say it is the same situation as in Spain:
Spanish is the main language over here but it depends on where you are, you can have more co-official languages, like Catalán, Euskera and Gallego, which are mandatory subjects at school in those places.
Spain is smaller than South Africa in size and has some history backgrounds that limits and reduces the number of languages spoken.
Auguri.

We have only one official Italian language, plus many dialects, People from Friuli insist that their is not a dialect but a Neolatin language, like Ladino in the Alto-Adige/Sudtirol province. There you have to declare your ethnic status (Italian, German or Ladino) and have to go to the school which teaches in your language. I was born in Trieste, where everybody speaks the local dialect, but my sons, born in Milano, do not speak the Milanese dialect. Now some of my grandchildren live in Tuscany and speak the local dialect, which is the Italian of Dante, Petrarca and Boccaccio. They only pronounce the "c" like we pronounce "h" and father is not "papa'" but "babbo" ;like in "Pinocchio" by writer Collodi. Personally I speak Italian, English, French and some Spanish, which I learned in the USA. When a boy I used to speak German, then Germany lost the war. Cheers.
