I was told yesterday that 5 people a year die from pedicures.

I don't want to die this way.

Flesh eating bacteria are not a good way to go ...

I am sure that Stevie never saw the end coming......

Not that show, I was there.

But a nice remembrance of the Man.

"I remember meeting Janis in a bar in Santa Cruz
With a dealer she pretended to ignore
She was swiggin' Southern Comfort and every time the glass ran low
The man behind the bar pulled out some more
I saw the dealer slip her something quickly
Do you 'spose he knew she had no time to waste?
And when she stumbled for the door he revved up that old Porsche
Hats off to another Hard Luck Ace."

The first time I died it was from a motorcycle wreck and I know that won't happen again...LOL The second time I died was from an IV before a catscan (VA Hospital think they forgot to warm IV). 3rd time is a charm they always say so I hope it is more peaceful than the 1st.
Death is real peaceful and not scary at all once you are there.

Not sure, it will either be the fall from the window or the husband with the shotgun I was trying to get away from.

I think I will die in my sleep. Most likely from the stab wounds she's just inflicted upon me. I've asked that she make it painless and I'm afraid that my instructions for proper knife placement were disregarded.

Failing that I'll be in chronic pain from a lifetime of sports injuries. I'll also be very deaf so I'll get no verbal comfort from anyone around me.

I have a funny feeling that I'll most likely be alone as well. Much like my grandfather. I guess the way I pick is the way I dont want to go. I'd much rather have my grandkids around since I'll most likely outlive my kids. I'd like to go silently and gently into the beyond. No remorse no guilt

Probably by banditos from the mountains. I do like hiking and wandering around.

I'll fly a starship across the universe divine
And when I reach the other side
I'll find a place to rest my spirit if I can
Or I might become a highwayman again
Or I may simply be a single drop of rain
But I shall remain, I'll be back again

I died for beauty, but was scarce
Adjusted in the tomb,
When one who died for truth was lain
In an adjoining room.

He questioned softly why I failed?
"For beauty," I replied.
"And I for truth, -the two are one;
We brethren are," he said.

And so, as kinsmen met a night,
We talked between the rooms,
Until the moss had reached our lips,
And covered up our names.

I like that one. Knowing my luck, I'll probably get a Nissan Micra driver cut me up on the motor-way, the very day I'm 'testing' the super-charger on my Legend 3.2 Coupe! Aside from that, dying on the day I retire, is about right. lol

That's a toughie. Die. Hmmm. Rather not..

Heart got father at 60 and little bro at 43, and another bro' at 50, a couple of years younger than me, just had a wake up call - literally, same reason. Male family genetic twitch called hyperlipidity. All skinny.

I'm a multiple stroke survivor, and it's what I know, or rather, it's what I know afterwards :) Guess I'd go with that. I've a young, strong, and loving wife and kids, and I know if one gets me one day, they'll be dealing with something they know about.

My Dad is 81 (and looks 60 according to others)...Mom is 71. Both sets of grandparents (except Grandmom on Mom's side-bad emphysema) lived well into their 90's.

Mom is starting to turn a bad corner as her smoker's cough is starting to mimick her mother's emphy-hack but she's ok for now.

Dad's survived a cancer surgery on his lungs (removed a lobe) and an aneurysm repair.

Family History is on our side.

Now that my Aneurysm has been recategorized as a "non-aneurytic anomaly" (ie I'm fine)--I see no issues as long as I keep my diet and workout plans going. I suspect I'll croak in my 80's.
