are you using the Lunatics optimized app. Amd's have a quirk that causes them to not process properly. Lunatics app doesnt have that prolem. You'll also seee a nice increase in rac from it. David is running Linux stock applications. The symptom of hanging in the test for optimum routines seems the same as Windows, so an optimized application is a good suggestion. For S@H Enhanced (aka MultiBeam), I'd suggest Crunch3r's AK V8 builds, http://calbe.dw70.de/seti.html. For Astropulse v505, http://lunatics.kwsn.net/index.php?module=Downloads;catd=34 would be the best. Doing both would require merging the app_info.xml files, but that's fairly trivial, and both here and at Lunatics there are other Linux users who can give advice. Joe |

All, I'm running an AMD Quad core with all cores devoted to seti@home. Many times I will have a core that shows to be running seti but after a many hours of work there will be zero progress. Amy thoughts about what is causing this? I hate to use the kilowatts with no working getting done. thanks in advance. |
