I see no difference except for 3010 CUDA version now. :) Sucks to be the people that "lose" Video ram.

But does it run seti as fast as the older drivers? Wonder if the Lunatics or Sutaru has checked them out?

This driver package is not the same for all cards.
But for e.g. GTX 295 cards this is the only driver that works properly.
So for some of us there is not much choice, is you want Win7 that is.
And still XP 64 seems to be faster, on my cards anyway.

I'm running XP x64 Edition, it doesn't seem faster with the new drivers as such, although i have noticed a few small bug fixes and a small performance gain in PCMark score when i tested my GPU. I'll test optimized applications later today.

These drivers are the cat's meow.

I can't attest as to whether they affect crunching speed on the GPU with either the stock app or the opti version.

But so far, they perform flawlessly.

I have installed them on all 4 of my GPU rigs...
2 running XP x64 with GTX295's and
2 running Win2K Advanced Server with GTX260's.
Win2K is not a choice when downloading the drivers....but although not officially supported, the 32 bit XP version contains the 2000 drivers, which installed flawlessly, including the settings tool in the taskbar, which the 190.62 drivers did not. They did not install the settings tool and gave 2 missing dll errors upon booting. 257.21 solved all that.

The best thing about this driver is all GPUs now OC to my settings and downclock automatically when there is no GPU work to do, saving a lot of power in the idle state.
If there is a small penalty in speed with the new driver, I am more than willing to give that up for the other benefits.

For now....the kitties give it five claws up.

Thanks for the flower! ;-)

I made a forum search because of something.. and found my nickname here.. X-D

Now the 258.96 nVIDIA driver is available..
Someone made a test on a WinXP system compared to the currently fastest (for WinXP and GTX2xx) 190.x driver?
