I know that I have no business asking but I'm curious.
No one need state their disabilities but I would like to know just how many of us who are part of S@H are Disabled in one way or another.
No need for specifics just a simple yes or no.
Any Flames will be Red X'ed or hidden.

I'll start.
My Wife and I are both Physically disabled.
I guess that's why I'm here...

I don't know if emotional issues count as disabilities or not.

I've an interesting collection of scars that sometimes gives me massive self-esteem issues which can disable me enough that I have to spend an hour talking myself into going out in public.

I have a seizure disorder, but it's controlled by medication.

Unfortunately I can't drink very much, as I'm a very cheap date with alcohol. 4 or 5 beers and I've definitely got a very heavy buzz on.

Was born with a bad leg, multiple surgeries later, still bad, but I get along with no problems.

My knees went out on me. Not bad enough for replacement yet but bad enough for a brace. Danged Marine Corps and their PT fetish!

No current issues unless I use both eyes are the same time. If I do, I see double. It makes it real easy to strike me out if I am batting in base ball. Other than that, I would not consider it a disability.

I have a congenital deformity of my left eye and it corrects to 20/200, which I believe is just the legal limit of blind. My right eye is quite nearsighted, but still benefits significantly from correction.

I function quite well with one eye, but I'll admit to being terrible at ping-pong and parking a car. Oh, and those "magic eye" pictures? Forget about them! Everybody can see them but me... Frankly, I'm convinced that those pictures are a hoax... there's not REALLY a dinosaur or an American flag there! (ok, there probably is...)

I am lucky that I have no disabilities to speak of. I see fine with glasses, but if I put them down I need help finding them again!

I am slightly deaf, and borderline for a hearing aid in one ear, but the only consequence of that is that other people can get irritated when I don't realise they are talking to me or I mishear them. :D

Most times I can work out what people have said through context if I don't get all the words, so it isn't a problem..for me at least!

My hearing is fine but I spent too many years bouncing back and forth between the Air Wings and Artillery Battalions that I catch myself having to watch people's lips to realize they are talking and understand what they are saying. Guess it came from too much time wearing earplugs.

Does having had a CABG x3 at age 40 count? (And, perry, wouldn't that be "...too much time NOT wearing earplugs..."?)

Do 2 young kids count?

I doubt It.

What if they are each hanging on one leg and yelling that the other started it?

Paraplegic since age 3, occasional mild depression, asthma and chronic OCD (OverClocker's Disorder.)... [I guess, being both an engineer(electronic) & a scientist(computer) may count as a form of syndrome of some sort... probably far more debilitating than the physical ones...]
