Well, the United Nations does try and get a lot done. But everytime they're on the verge of doing what the MAJORITY of countries want, the US vetoes it.

The UN can't be blamed for America's vote.

The UN also tried to get rid of the Veto vote itself, but hey, the US vetoed it.

It's OK James. Rush Limbaugh will step up to the plate! He seems to have infinite wisdom and great judgement.

Ban Ki-moon. He speaks for all nations who abide by, and follow international law. Those loyal to the United Nations and its' ideals.

Nobody speaks of the earth, we as a simple warehouse where we pass the day and fatten the cattle, he can. I saw the series of Mr. Sagan and the best chapter of all is number 13. Anyway ... speaking of the human race when we responsible for our actions ... both active and passive. Otherwise, I do not know any planet like ours, populated by human ... We are not simply a disease?

Still doesn't quite answer the original question ;(

That'd be hard to do, as different cultures have different values. It would be hard to elect 1 person to represent humanity in its entirety.

Who speaks for Earth?

Irrespective of whether we thinking about humans alone or all life on Earth as a whole:

We all speak for Earth, by our actions.

Sometimes I think we are alone in the universe, and sometimes I think we are not. In either case the idea is quite staggering.

The answer is, no one speaks for Earth. You may have noticed, we aren't all one big happy family down here. Anyone else find it rather backward that any mention of a united Earth is instantly met with "evil, new world order, socialist, they're trying to enslave us all" and all other manner of religious and political BS? Religion and politics are the most powerful forces on this planet, and they are also the two things that are destroying it.

So no, no one can speak for Earth. No one will ever speak for Earth until humanity itself changes.
