My neighbor was getting rid of his smoker. It's a Brinkman smoker that needs some TLC and a wire brush, and a paint-job, it'll be as good as new. All I had to do was spot him a beer and some company and we're even.

It looks similar to this one.

That one is heavy duty. With the right stuff like rib racks you could feed the neighborhood. One of those is on my wish list but it will have to wait till after we move out of the condo as we don't have the space for it.
P.S. only paint the outside and if you want a manual for it, there should be one in PDF format on the Brinkman web site.

Ok I give. Yes I grill often. But I BBQ also, just less often. I have a brick lined pit that is about 12 feet deep and 6 in diameter. I load it with about a cord of wood, usually oak and let that burn overnight. Next morning I drop in banana leaves, about 100 lbs of seasoned beef in burlap sacks, then more banana leaves. Cover it with a metal plate and let it cook for 25 hours. The I take out the meat and party. Only do that once a year for a church event. But boy is that good stuff.

BBQ Hawaiian style. I never tried it but at one of the gun clubs they tried it just after it rained. Big mistake. The coals wouldn't stay lit. 100 pounds of meat. Good sized party, about 200 people.

Just over 100. There are usually left overs. And no it's not Hawaiian. The recipe I use is Mexican from the Yucatan area. It's Mayan in origin.

Sounds better than Liver and as such I'd try It, Dad did teach Me a few good things, One is not to be afraid to try something New, A few years later though He said I had to eat the liver on My plate which tasted and looked like shoe leather, It was always tough, So I could not eat that, So I was sent to bed without anymore to eat as I'd tried to eat liver before that and I'd found It not edible as It hurt My mouth trying to eat It and He didn't care to listen to My concerns, Mom tried to cook liver, But I don't think She knew how to cook liver properly as Mom was from Texas, Dad was from Idaho, Mom told Me She didn't like liver, Dad did, She tried to cook liver only cause He liked It Mom said.

What! You don't BBQ in the rain? I've already started my second 5 lb can of propane. I get about 20 BBQ per 5 lb can.

Being outdoors when it's cold and having rain blown in your face doesn't really float my boat ;)
