The frustrating this is my No. 1 cruncher is out of work, usually only maintains enough for no more than 18 (12-16 WU) hours, whereas my imac maintains 30+ WU, enough for 2-3 days. It seems the slower the machine the more WU it's able to download. I have the computing preferences set to "maintain enough work for an additional 3 days" ID: 996173 ·

It thinks you have enough work on hand at present. Unfortunately, it also counts units waiting to upload. Thus, even though you yourself want work, until the backlog of uploads is cleared, your computer will continue to tell you you are not requestiung any. Try setting your cache at a longer number of days and overcome some of the delays caused by these temporary outages. Downloads should still be OK at p-resent according to the Cricket graphs.
