it wasn't the Media it was the constant barrage of elevated threat levels produced by the Bush administration that have already been noted as being used to manipulating voting. Lets not forget that Fuax news was in the lead on producing most if not all of the "terror" news and it still is. Now its all about Obama and all the supposed dirt they've dug up on him. I'm less afraid of Terrorists and terrorism than I am of a countries media outlets that don NOT fact check the info they produce. Hell, Fox had so much wrong on the Iraqi Invasion and yet have retracted any of their "We've FOUND WMD's" statements. Seriously, Roosevelt was correct. The only thing we have to fear is fear itself. I'd like to add we need to fear the people that intentionally spread fear through misinformation. I'm not talking about some guy in a cave in some God forsaken place. Im talking about deliberate misinformation from news outlets. THe FCC should have their license.

Ah terrorism. Do you know how you can tell that the terrorists won, and are still winning? After the events of 9-11, they didn't really have to do anything else for many years. The media kept people terrified with constant talk of new threats. The terrorists subsequently sat in their caves laughing their asses off at how the media was doing their job for them. Only now that some of the fears have started dying down do you see more actual terror attempts surfacing.

Politics and religion: the two most destructive forces ever to exist in the history of humanity.

If the term had been around in 1776, I'm sure the British would've referred to American patriots as "terrorists". It's just a label that identifies to most people a certain group against whom we are waging an unconventional war. If you're tired of hearing it all you have to do is close yourself off in a darkened room and not come out for the next 20 years (maybe longer). Myself, I prefer engaging myself in local national and international issues, putting very little weight on judgments of others and their judgmental terms, until I have had a chance to make my own decisions.

Terrorism. Terrorist.

People going around blurting out "terrorist" at every damn thing that they are opposed to.

The Sea Shepard society are not terrorists. Hell, if I had the time, I'd join them.

You calling me a terrorist??? I think not.
