Simple question.
NO rhetoric.
Just a poll.

Answer yes or no.......all others will be stricken by the Lord.

This truly interests me, because other threads seem to indicate that we are overrun by agnostics, or worse.

Again, no comments here......start another thread.

Here we go...yes or no. That is the only response allowed.

yes and no

I think we have an absentee landlord. He's been away to long and his children have wrecked the place. If I knew his forwarding address I'd send him Pictures of how well his children have learned the lessons he wanted us to learn. As the saying Goes if the Cats away the mice will play. SO people have nothing to fear anymore because he doesnt do anything for or about us

No.

I grew up in a very religious family, most of them still are. For the first 33 years of my life I tried very hard to believe without any real proof, faith wasn't enough. Eventually I realized religion was created by man to control man.

One more time in case you missed it... Religion was created by man to control man. And it has for thousands of years.

The important question is, does it believe in me?

One might as if one has reason to believe in some god or other but one needs to be specific as to which god or gods one is asking about.

This superficially simple question has so many unstated assumptions it is hardly worth doing more than pointing out a few of them.

Mark... I think that's because most religious people don't believe in ETI. There is obviously a slight bias favoring agnostics.

As I have stated before, I consider myself a Deist.

As such, I reject organized religion. I simply cannot reconcile man's self-absorbed expressions of "faith" and the historical and current hypocrisy within the world's religions.

As Thomas Jefferson wrote in 1819, "I am of a sect by myself, as far as I know."

Wow Luke--I was going to post but I guess my opinion doesn't matter because you feel you speak for "most religious people".

Perhaps Daddio should weigh in on the hypocrisy in religion.
