We won't see another drop until October. Mandatory restrictions aren't a joke.

No thanks, we had quite enough of that last fall.

I'm not even sure who to ask if it would be allowable?

Maybe Eric can comment if Angela points him in the direction of the discussion?

If it's allowable I think the next step would be to have a poll across the forum to see if there would genuinely be an interest in parting with cash to collect tokens of your achievement.

Then there is the logistics of sorting out a company that can deal with worldwide transactions at a reasonable cost.

I'm sure all the above can be overcome if there is the demand.

Let's see, if the Admins are interested. It would mean, bringing back the Seti Store and deciding what to offer.
I have shipped shirts to five continents..."YES"..., so I could handle the store part too.
I think the minimum level donation amount should be upped to $15. That might help the project at least break even.
I will work on a proposal, as soon US tax season, the first round is over.
In the meantime, give us your input, please.

I very much like the idea of being able to buy Seti souvenirs for certain levels of crunching achievement. But just think how much effort was required for the Seti Anni Tee shirts (see footnote). Would it really be a practicable proposition? If it could be made to work then you would certainly have my support.

I will point Eric in the direction of this thread, but I think Chris is correct here. It is a fun idea but probably not feasible. We were just shooting to break even on those anniversary tee-shirts, and thanks to the HEROIC efforts of Uli we may yet manage that!!!

Merchandising efforts in the past have not worked out well and I guarantee you that no staff member has time to devote to merchandising. (I've been nagging Eric for weeks now to do a tech-news update, and he still hasn't had free time and a burst of energy converge in order to make this happen.)

So congratulations Andy on your special crunching milestone.

Sorry there is no S@H bud vase that goes along with this...

There is no way the project would be able to break even with people like Mark around. He's working on 58 million. That would be a lot of coffee cups, pens, etc.

I remember when I first joined SAH in '07 there was an online store.

There were things that I wanted to order but I couldn't order because they weren't accepting orders from Canada.

Anyway, restarting the store with discounts for credits might be an idea. That way, at lease some of the costs would be covered.
