They had been sitting on the shelf for weeks, taunting me: Chocolate Easter Bunnies. The solid, one pound type that sell for $1.99, made from that high sugar content, super-cheap, low quality chocolate. Utterly delicious. So tempting.

I broke down last night and bought one.

I have already nibbled it's ears away and am pondering on munching some more.

So, what is your Guilty Little Pleasure? (Keeping in mind the kid-friendly rules, etc.)
Pure mathematics is, in its way, the poetry of logical ideas.

Cocolate covered peanuts. They sell them in a health food store in the town where I work. I'm not sure why they might be healthy, but I can finish off a bag the same day easily.

Where do I start?

I've found a local bulk food store that has Cadbury Easter Eggs in packages of 3, for $1.99. They are usually $1 to $1.25 each around here. I'm trying to stay away from the place, but it is calling to me.

And, large soft pretzels, the kind they often sell in airports. When I travel on business I usually change planes several times (going from a small town to another) and I often wind up having two of these for lunch, or even dinner. Never mind the fancy new ones with cheese or mustard or hot sauce, just give me one with lots of salt.

And so on....

Hmm.... guilty pleasures. Mine would have to be jelly beans. I don't know why but I absolutely love starburst jelly beans. I can't go into a store without buying a bag! :)
There is also oreo blizzards, even in the middle of winter I want them. :)

Chocolate chip ice cream (I make a good home made diet version), chocolate kisses, chocolate mints and strange as it may seem a tall glass of ice tea. Why is tea guilty when I don't even use sugar? It keeps me awake and I get withdrawal headaches if indulge to often. One woman's poison is another woman's treat.

One of the nice things about Germany is that you can have a beer with your Chocolate M&Ms (Smarties) in the cinema.

It appears that chocolate already has a slight lead here...

Coffee ice cream.

Coffee Ice Cream

Homemade ice cream is fantastic. It's fresh and delicious, especially when it's made with your own home-roasted coffee. Ahhh. . . the perfect summer treat.

Ingredients
3 cups light cream
1 3/4 cups sugar
3 beaten eggs
1/2 tsp. salt
1 1/2 tsp. vanilla
1/4 cup rum or Kahluá
1/2 cup cold strong coffee
1 cup heavy whipping cream
Heat and Beat, then Chill
Scald light cream while blending in sugar. Add slowly over beaten eggs and blend thoroughly. Cook while stirring on top of a double boiler until thickened, and chill.

Add coffee
Next add the cooled coffee, salt, and whipping cream.

Ice Cream Machine
With either electric or hand-operated ice cream freezer, use churning instruction with the freezer. Begin churning in the freezer. When almost frozen, add vanilla and Kahluá. The finished ice cream will be of a soft-serve consistency until hardened in a freezer.

It's a damn good thing that I don't own an ice cream maker right now.....

Alas, the poor chocolate and ear-less Easter bunny. Perhaps, soon to be headless.

Note the cruel teeth marks. I am a bad, bad person. <munch, munch, munch>
