I understand where you're coming from, but that only works in a perfect world.

Actually, thats what works in a responsible world. But after all, these are only college students, so perhaps they haven't all had their full dose of responsibility, yet.

That's quite offensive of you to state, and it also indicates a great ignorance on your part about the project's Administrators. In no way would Eric be considered a college student, and most certainly I would never tell him he's irresponsible.

It has less to do with responsibility and more to do with a lack of helping hands in the lab.

Somebody should. It is irresponsible to run a project by keeping people in the dark.

Just as a side note, that's Doctor Eric Korpola. He is doing his best to keep us informed but he is very busy not only with this project but many other things. There are many times when something breaks late at night or over a weekend that we see either his or one of the other project admins hand kicking the machine to keep us crunching.

( or should that be foot? :-) )

I don't recall the project ever promising people that they would always keep us informed.

It's arrogant to dictate to others how they should do their job, and ignorant to make suggestions without knowing what the nuances are first. But I'm sure you'll continue to show us both those traits with a witty and snarky remark.

Probably get that if you take the last letter(s) of some words and the first of others in the rules & policies and line them up. I've never been good at those kinds of puzzles. :-)
