Probably gonna have to wait till Monday when the guys get in and give the servers a swift kick to start the ball rolling again. LOL Prob'ly so. At least downloads are still functioning (and occasionally an upload or two), so the system still has a heartbeat of sorts... Martin |

Much the same problems as everyone else, although some have gone through. However, has anyone else noticed that the site itself is 'sluggish'? Don't take life too seriously, as you'll never come out of it alive! |

However, has anyone else noticed that the site itself is 'sluggish'? yes within the last couple of minutes, even got dropped connection message. Perhaps the hacker is frustrated his message isn't up. [edit] Strange, neither cricket for the web site http://fragment1.berkeley.edu:80/newcricket/grapher.cgi?target=/router-interfaces/inr-230/gigabitethernet6_1&ranges=d%3Aw&view=Octets or Seti's data http://fragment1.berkeley.edu:80/newcricket/grapher.cgi?target=/router-interfaces/inr-250/gigabitethernet2_3&ranges=d%3Aw&view=Octets is indicating an issue. I guess we have to wait for a reboot to clear the pipes. |

The good news is all my Validate Errors have disappeared! Thanks! Nope, didn't happen. Maybe the d/b just wasn't responding in a timely fashion. Still have 4 ve's. No biggie. This morning pathping reported 13% packet loss. Crunch 'em if you got 'em! Martin |

Normally if I just wait, it eventually clears up and everything uploads and I get new tasks. I don't think this is a problem I created unless manually suspending tasks and restarting them can create an issue. I did that because I noticed a bunch of tasks that had due dates that were due in a day or so, yet when the program finished with the tasks it was working on, it went on to other tasks that were not due for a long time instead of the tasks that would be due the soonest. So I suspended every one that started until it got to the ones I wanted it to do so they wouldn't be late. If that is the wrong thing to do and might be what has caused my problem, I'd appreciate the information. No rocket scientist stuff please.....I'm just an install Boinc and run it type of user :) Oh, and I am running version 6.10.18 |

I have two machines (one Mac and one PC) running 21 and 18 respectively that will not upload completed units. This has been going on for nearly a week now. Some of these units are nearing expiration. I can get new units but they are really stacking up now. What's going on? Help. Please. (I had tried upgraded to 36 on the Mac but that made it worse and it would neither upload NOR download so I reverted to 21) Visit my website where you can see my Seti page, my blog, and anything else of interest. Write me at darsys at aol dot com if you want. My blog is at http;//www.darsys.net/quagmire.html |

Yep...It's been going on all weekend...They'll surely have to take the servers down for awhile to get whatever's wrong fixed...Hopefully it'll be clearing up later today or tonight. PROUD TO BE TFFE! |

The servers are down???? Oh no, quick, run to the panic thread!!!! :-) Whenever you suspect the servers are down it is best to check there first. The first post usually comes within minutes of the servers taking a break. PROUD MEMBER OF Team Starfire World BOINC |

Nothing is 'wrong'. The regular unplanned Weekend-downtime seemlessly blends into the regular planned Tuesday-downtime, we get a couple of days clear uploading and downloading, and the cycle repeats... This is 'normal'. |

this is spring break for many schools lets hope the staff at Berkeley is still there Well, Matt is certainly in the lab, because he's added a new item of front-page news - and that's something that he certainly wouldn't be allowed to do remotely, after last month's little escapade. But I do sometimes (well, often) wonder how quickly they notice that something needs attention, like UPLOADS do at the moment. Superficially, everything looks OK - the server status page, the cricket graph, both look OK at a casual glance from the other side of the room. It's only when you look close up, and check the actual figures, that you realise there's something wrong. Or if you run the project yourself, of course. |

SETI should give a rephrased warning to tell us that "THE SERVER IS PERMANENTLY TEMPORARILY DOWN"!!! Keith |

Right now, just one Mac out 4 machines could have sent some results few hours ago, just a few of them (10 waiting on this Mac, just 3 pass trough and succeeded upload)... So it's better than this morning, but not fixed ;) "Sous le Clavier la Page" |
