Probably would have been worth waiting till the present hiccups had been resolved. This thread may well fill up before it's time.

Been gone all day and was hoping things would be fixed by now....

I had one rig get lucky and report 8 WU's about 2 hours ago...nothing since or for about 15 hours prior.
I do see uploads squeaking through one at a time here and there. But very sporadic.

Also because of the other messages in the earlier panic thread..

I'm 'happy' that I'm not the only one with 'probs'..

BUT, the Cricket Graph show current:
DL: 38.67 Mbits/sec
UL: 8.19 Mbits/sec

So.. not maxed bandwidth.

BUT nothing go through (UL/scheduler contact).

Where is the prob?

Since the U.K. is further away from Berkeley and therefore takes longer to do the handshaking business.
The 2 rigs here are just going to project backoff mode without even trying to do an upload.
Between them there is nearly 1000 tasks to upload.
The Rig on a Bench ran out of Cuda 2 days ago and is working through 800+ VLAR's,the i7 has 1 VLAR left and 100 Cuda.
Both these rigs have the same computing settings and a 4 day cache.
Me think's it will be some days before all the tasks are uploaded, and cache refilled.

Even after the "rush", now that the connection isn't saturated, I still can't upload or report the units that are done.

I don't believe I'm alone since I would have expected to see a huge amount of units reported once everything was back online due to the AC failure and extended downtime but it appears to still be depressed with only 20K per hour coming in.

Well, I still believe that there is something suppressing comms that has not come to light yet.

You are not alone!
My PCs idle, have thousands of results ready for UL, but they don't go through.
No work request, because of this.

I guess nobody know what's going on with the SETI@home servers/connection.

The graph of the last router between SETI@home and us look very well and everything should go through, but it don't.

So only the SETI@home crew know what happen/ed.

I guess 'patience is the key', like everytime.. ;-)

Uploaded all on one system and got new work. Without me doing anything about it, other than testing the new CPU usage preference and finding a bug in it. :-)

Thanks for the hint!

Again something new and nobody informed the people about..

Suspend work if CPU usage is above 25 %
0 means no restriction
Enforced by version 6.10.30+

And then they are surprised about hundrets of new posts/threads about: 'BOINC do strange things'.

You expect people to read other messages about current problem instead of 100 people posting the same thing? lol :)

We may never find out what the actual problem was, but it looks like things are back up & just in log jam mode atm. After coming back from watching some movies on my HTPC it looks like my home machines all reported & got new work. I just turned a machine back on that I was using to play around on & had run out of work. It uploaded & reported it's results w/o any problems as well.

Every time I "abuse my button" by selecting all of the uploads in back-off mode and clicking "Retry Now", I get one or two files ULed. Will keep it up until all are ULed or I get board, which ever comes first. :^P

Actually, anyone who posts their E-Mail address in a public forum should expect lots and lots of mail. Most of it advertising cheap drugs or tracking down the heirs of some lost bank account in Nigeria.
