Given the recent events in Haiti......

I think it appropriate that the kitties launch the next Free Rice challenge.

Luke's last effort racked up about 1.3 million, if I am correct......

I am not the stats or pretty graph keeper that Luke was, maybe he can monitor this time around too.

But.......don't you think.....it's time for some more Free Rice...

I am not the biggest contributor on this, so don't be surprised if I do not lead the charge, but....follow me nonetheless.

Just what is needed around here. 500 grains from me as a start.
As you were saying Mark, just looking back over the prior threads, my threads have racked up 5,295,410 grains. I think Mark's thread could do better than my average.

Just a note to any one who cares, a baseline of rice donation is =
20,000 grains of standard jasmine grain rice is enough to provide the caloric needs of a single average American adult daily.
- Luke.

Home from work to find a new challenge. Yipee!

Too tired to do much more than a mere 1000 grains, tho.

More tomorrow, I promise. :)

My wife does crosswords, sudoku, ken ken, and other puzzles;
and "Free Rice" is great for learning/mental stimulation/insomnia...
...we would have joined in on the earlier Rice Bowls,
but I was under the (mistaken) impression that it involved downloading a toolbar;
and the grains of rice came from visiting websites--
don't know how I came up with that...

You can just close the popup and continue without downloading anything at all.....as I am sure you know now.

Just wanted to clarify for any other budding rice worshipers.

You don't have to download anything to contribute.
