Bright sun and +10C in Vancouver.

Normally, that would be fantastic weather for early February, this year, tho, we have this little thing called the Winter Olympics happening in a week or so and, gulp, we haven't got any snow.

So if anywone has any that they want to send our way. . .

Well, time to batten down the hatches. Up to 16 inches of snow in our 3 day forecast. Not quite the 3 feet Washington DC just suffered through, but more in one drop that we've had in quite a while...

I'm just north of DC a few miles. We're expecting another ~foot of snow starting today. We had close to 30 inches here over the weekend.

We finally got the driveway cleared yesterday, just in time to get a few groceries and two more shovels. We've already broken 3 shovels.

The bad news, and there's plenty of it, is there are thousands of people still without power in the metro area. Also, all the local government's have run out or are on the verge of running out of "snow" money, so the streets are not getting plowed as often, or at all, in many cases. That makes getting around for the repair crews and emergency vehicles and everyone else very difficult.
