The upwelling of dissent and opinion has been interesting today.

Analysts are all over the place.
Interesting that there's LOTS of mention of what it is not or doesn't have, yet no consensus on how the market will respond.

Bottom line is that even analysts don't know and are afraid to "underestimate" the power of the Apple brand, even with all the questions surrounding this product.

OMG, that is hysterical! and SOOOO believable.

I thought this article from TheInquirer gave a nice "no-spin" summary.

But they'd be way cool to run Boincview or Boinctasks (assuming it could be ported) and then you have something like those screens in Minority Report and could see what the farm is up to while walking around

Hi, yeah, thats nice ofcoarse, but I'de rather stick with a Laptop, don't like those 'gadgets'.
But you also watch your BOINC stats on your cell phone (or i pod).
Pure Apple marketing stunt.

I'm holding out for the iPADD with the LCARS interface and built-in tricorder.

Oooh, I'd like one of those, too. Keyboards? The one that came with my ancient (still working) IBM XT (yep, 4.77MHz 8088 and a huge 10 Meg HD) - it still feels good after all these years.
