Keynote is reporting a significant outage in San Diego. Looks like the NTT and Level3 peering is having routing issues -- it's saying 25% packet loss right now. May have something to do with this.

It seems to be causing high latency with peering to Sprint, Savvis and Cogent as well.

Finally a problem that has nothing to do with Berkeley's servers!

I thought it might be my router because I changed a couple settings in it today. Good to hear it's not something I screwed up.

Yea, seems to be a little cranky about the uploads again. Scarecrow graph of uploads is about 50% of normal. Cricket graphs are way low.

Soooo...
Got home from work and things are still tangled up.

Any real evidence as to whether this is a problem within the Berkeley/Seti campus and servers or a problem external to Berkeley, as some have suggested?

Well, the Scarecrow graphs show the results returned rate diving into the biffy.....so whatever the problem is, it is not getting any better.
I guess best hopes are that it is in the Seti servers, and tomorrow's weekly 'reboot and recover' cycle will set things right.

Meow meow.

Hi Mark still got the same this morning this side of the pond.
Rig in an Antec has only 150 Cuda to crunch and 1000 VLAR's.
With nearly 500 uploads looks like a 4 day cache is not enough, will have to increase it.The Boinc scheduler does not appear to work very well.
Only crunch Seti so it's not waiting for other projects.
Well of to work now.

I got enough to crunch for now.......have been running low on Cuda work due to the amount of VLAR work being issued as of late.
Hopefully this will get resolved tomorrow.
Well, off to bed now.
