Problematic cards.
I never got the 2 PCB version working mostly continues errors on device 0.
Tried 3 of them, some worked for a week or so....
Send the all back, and got them back within the week, brand new 1 PCB version.
Now running 3 cards 24/7 for half a year XP 64 no problems there.

BTW.
You use display dummies with WinXP 64bit and your 2x GTX295 ?

AFAIK, WinVista need this that BOINC can use all GPU chips.

My WinXP 32bit don't need this with 4x GTX260-216.

No dummy plugs needed in XP 64 for my cards.
Win7 64 detects 4 cards as well (dual boot) without dummy's and works sort of.

I´m having the very same problem with my two i7s with GTXs 295 that use to run Win XP32 and now use Win7 x64. No matter what drivers or setup I use, there always a lot of errors on GPU#0. If not overclocked, the driver will fail and recover, but still ruining the processing unit.
If overclocked, CORE #0 will go in to 2d mode and won´t come back.
Following Sutaru´s tip, Im trying now to set the windows visual effects to BEST PERFORMANCE instead of best looking or auto setup. It seems its working now.
Using 190.38 Driver, PhysX disabled, Multi-GPU enabled, both cores overclocked.
3d setting/power management mode is set to prefer maximum performance on nvidia control panel. Will see if it can stay 24hr stable by tomorrow, but it´s looking good.

You used WinXP and they worked well?

I said something because of windows visual effects? I think no.. ;-)

Right, you didn´t say so :)
But you say something about freeing memory that win7 may use, and I asume my error on GPU#0 have to do win win7 using it, so I trying to rip off all inutile stuff and see if it works.
Yes, both machines work well on XP 32 bits. Will try the new beta driver, but i´m not very excited about it....

Got the win xp cd in the mail today. Installed and merged already. Win xp is so easy compared to Vista/Win7. Even used driver 195.xx with no problem. Lunatic app installed too. Thanks everyone!

Who said it all the time.. ;-)

I saw you have 195.x installed.
Take 190.x and it's faster.

Don't forget to install CUDA_V2.3 .dll's.
..where to DL/install? My profile.. ;-)

I am amazed how fast this machine goes thru wu's. I have my machines set for 5 days of work. But this machine has over 9,000 tasks and it downloads new tasks constantly. Is this normal?

You got my PM..? ;-)

I would recommend max. 3 days.
I have on my both machines 3 days and BOINC can manage it well (GPU cruncher < 1.0 GB on HDD, 700 - 900 MB depend of AR).
If you go higher ~ 1.5 GB, BOINC is overloaded and will go crazy (like DL and DL new WUs).

You have flops entries in your app_info.xml?

If you get over 4000 WUs or so downloaded, you will soon find Boinc mangager chasing it's tail all over the place, and little real work being done.

Just went through this scenario with my 920 rig......had to tell the .... not to get any new work for a few days, and it's finally settled out.
