Adding a few:
24 - although the newer seasons get a little too far fetched
Survivor
Life after Humans (Doco)
Summer Heights High

Plus a few movies:
Shawshank Redemption
National Treasure (I+II)
The Terminal
Flight of the Phoenix (anything with Hugh Laurie in it really)

EDIT:
Pirates of the Caribbean (I+II+III)
Casino Royale
Quantum of Solace
- Luke.

Oh definitely the Science channel and PBS/Nova. Can't see enough repeats of the programs that deal with physics.

A good start would be everything produced by Jack Webb, Irwin Allen, and Quinn Martin.

Now that I think of it, let's add two more creator/producers:

Stephen J. Cannell
Rockford Files
Baa Baa Black Sheep
Baretta

Donald P. Bellisario
Magnum, P.I.
Airwolf
Quantum Leap
JAG
NCIS
He was also writer/producer on Black Sheep Squadron and the original Battlestar Galactica.

One of the funniest things on at the moment is "Wipeout", the big balls crack me up every time.

I take it you're not talking 'bout the Wipeout that folks my age remember? LOL.
