Just this second another task has completed:- I can now confirm that this last task was validated correctly, but none of those completed during the outage and reported before this one are still in the VALIDATE ERROR state as described in the last note above. So all seems o be progressing well now, but all the original VALIDATE ERRORS still need to be corrected (and should not be sent out for crunching by another 2 hosts?) Keith [P.S. Maybe we are not getting tasks downloaded even though 400,000 are ready to send. That is possibly to prevent the 2 extra unsent tasks being sent out from the work units containing the tasks flagged with VALIDATE ERROR??] |

I've also got a bunch of those validate errors, I hope it's possible to revive them.. otherwise I'm afraid I'll lose close to two days of crunching.. PS: if it can't be fixed.. ahh well sh*t happens.. The SETI@Home Gauntlet 2012 april 16 - 30| info / chat | STATS |

I got some errors which I suppose do not coincide with the actual validation issue anybody knows anything bout that? http://setiathome.berkeley.edu/result.php?resultid=1458167443 |

The tasks/WUs with this error have the text "Validate Error". Any other errors e.g. Compute Error are not affected by this problem. I have had some sucessfull validations since I created this thread so I am going to change the thread title from "WARNING: All tasks result in VALIDATE ERRORS 29/12" to "Many tasks result in VALIDATE ERRORS 29 Dec 09" |

This morning I have 58 Timeout wu's under the error tab. Many of these wu's were reported back in November. I haven't checked all of them yet... Martin edited... |

Nevermind. I saw a note in another thread about the servers resyncing a RAID array. Martin |

Well hopefully it is fixed so it doesn't happen again or they know to watch for it now. In either case it's a success. The 12 units that reported as "validate error", on my account, have been corrected. The two additional work units that generated show "not needed". Seems that after the RAID resync, everything could be back to normal. We need to thank the Berkeley crew for all their hard work. |
