Stupid question but, how do people have color currently. Did I miss something? I did not just at the opportunity to make an avatar just because I have recently started posting again. Did something change that no longer allows pictures to have color?

BTW: I did remove my avatar on account it look horible. It was in B and W

And I will write support for the GD2 library soon... then you will be able to use all the colours you want =)

My avatar is a 450x425 .JPG in 256 colors.

Maybe just maybe, a 256 color .JPG is the way to go.

when you save take care that it is save in true color not in 256 color format !

BUMP ruleZ

I have tried several times to upload my picture but every time it takes away all of the color. What am I doing wrong? I made sure that every thing was right: 100 x 100 pixels and less than 4K.

I have tried several pictures including some other people’s avatars to see if it was just my pictures but it even takes away the color from theirs too. Is it just me or is there something wrong here?
