Maybe it's because you are designed to live in California. Apply for a non-paying job at SETI;) You could work with Eric and help him with the data bases. That would move you about 1000 mles south and 6000 miles west. The time to commute in California would be about the same but you would only live 20 miles from your workplace.

You and Carlos could train Eric on household chores and give Angela a break.

Everyone needs shopping abilty and getting the 'right' colour wig could be really difficult if friends didn't offer advice...

Still, poor taste friends ban each other from educating each other about class, where it could be found and it's best time, application and opportunity...
