Sounds like where I grew up out west.

Edmonton: Tonight A few clouds. Increasing cloudiness this evening with 30 percent chance of flurries overnight. Wind up to 15 km/h. Low minus 22 (-8F). Wind chill minus 28 (-19F) this evening.

Still better than CFB Alert, where the low yesterday was -35C (-31F).

Note that both of these are normal reports, not alerts. They save the alerts for when it gets really cold. Like most Canadians, I'm secretly in favour of global warming.

Didn't quite make 10 cm last night, only about 8. But it looks like we're not through for the day. Note the government's use of their secret code word for "my driveway" again.

Just took a picture out my back door, so you can see what 2 days of "snow squalls" looks like. To put this in perspective, we had less than 1 inch of snow on the ground Christmas day, none on the deck or garden shed. What you see here has all happened in the last 48 hours. We won't be barbecuing for a few days.
