Glasgow, Scotland 9.20pm

Snow on ground 1 inch/2.5cm
Foggy, humidity 95%
Temperature -5 degrees C
Windspeed 2mph
Rel Pressure 973.7hPs (rising)
Elevation 100ft/30m

Did a bit of Lunar observing until the fog crept in. Using a 12" f5 reflector (Dobsonian mount) and an 11mm Nagler EP (x136 magnification & 0.6 degree tFOV). Nice crisp views of Mare Serenetatis and the area around craters Plinius and Dawes. Haemus Mts standing proud in the sunlight.

Nice!

OMG came to my parents house north of wichita falls texas last night. Checked the weather radar last night. Rain was following behind us along the freeway. The rain hit about 20 minutes after we arrived. this morning the temperature dropped and we are getting slammed with a blizzard.

So far we have about 8 inches of snow and they are saying we should get between 8-12 by 6pm today. I think we'll have more than that. This area of Texas is not known for snow and they have no snow clearing equipment

current temp is 26 F
wind 40-60 mph
wind chill 10 and lower.

Looks like we got our white Christmas

Snow squall warning for
London - Parkhill - Eastern Middlesex County continued

..Snowsquall bands have developed off Lake Huron and Georgian Bay..

Brisk winds and falling temperatures are affecting the lower Great Lakes in the wake of a sharp cold front. Snow squalls continue to the Lee of Georgian Bay and Lake Huron.

The main squall off Georgian Bay continues to affect the Collingwood area southeast towards Alliston.

A more intense single squall has developed off Lake Huron extending from Grand Bend to just west of London to Port Stanley. Weaker squalls continue north of the main band affecting areas near the Lake Huron shoreline of Huron county.

Further snowfall amounts under the more intense snow squalls may reach 15 to 20 centimetres in some locales this morning. As well, winds gusting up to 50 km/h are likely to produce near zero visibilities in blowing snow.

These squalls are expected to weaken and shift early this afternoon, as the winds abate.

Currently have some sun in Wasaga Beach but its not the best weather for the Olympic Torch Relay. They should be running through one now in the Collingwood Area. I'm waiting for it to come to Wasaga Beach in about an hour and then Ill make my way back home through the squalls again.

Oh and It's 35°F / 2°C here and partly cloudy, The weather report says clear, But My window says otherwise.

Had some sun here in the deep south an hour ago. The wind then shifted ever so slightly, and the snow squall that was just west of the city is now squalling all over my driveway. Wx radar says 2 cm per hour, just under an inch per hour.

Yes, SJ, we have our share of crazies here too. At least nobody is trying to blow us up (just now).

It's winter in Nebraska
And the gentle breezes blow
Seventy miles an hour
At thirty-five below.

Oh, how I love Nebraska
When the snow's up to your butt
You take a breath of winter air
And your nose gets frozen shut.

Yes, the weather here is wonderful
So I guess I'll hang around
I could never leave Nebraska
I'm frozen to the ground!
