Ah...I think I found the problem. My provider merged with a other provider and has changed my email address. I changed the mail address to the correct one and my work and connection has been restored. My provider used to be Tele2, but in Belgium it merged with Base. Mark.peters@tele2.be changed to mark.peters@base.be, so check your account again if you have made a mistake in email address.

email address can be changed in the: my account menu, on this site!

Work is downloading again...:)

i checked it,i didn`t make mistake in my email address,the problem remains.should i detach my project first?

No, don't detach if you still have tasks on your computer. They would be aborted.

Did you reboot? If yes, wait some hours and reboot again. There might be a wrong IP address cached somewhere along the way from you to Berkeley.

I have the same problem:
All WU will be marked with "(Projektverzögerung: xx:yy:zz)" at the end every time I tried to download them.
I rebooted my PC - no changing; no problems with uploading.

See the sticky thread No Work/Little Work in the Number crunching forum. Search for the word 'stack' (without quotes) to find the part concerning your problem.

Did you just restart BOINC or did you reboot? There seems to be a problem with one of the two download servers at Berkeley. If you don't want to temporarily change your hosts file, rebooting or flushing the DNS cache repeatedly seems to help best. For more info, see the link in my previous post.

i tried flushing dns cache and tried detaching i haven't been able to
get a work unit for more then a week. i put boinc on my desktop pc.

i got a similar problem, installed BOINC Manager v6.10.18 (ID: 5198516 ), attached myself to SETI@HOME and nothing comes through in downloads, not even updates, although everything seems to be connected just fine into the internet, here's excerpts from the message logs:

I'd attempt using the lunatics universal installer 0.2 it looks like your BOINC is attempting to redownload the apps for seti.

i tried flushing dns cache and tried detaching i haven't been able to
get a work unit for more then a week. i put boinc on my desktop pc.

For starters it isnt necessary to post 3-20 pages of info ever!!! that is just clutter. For some reason BOINC didnt see or download the master file from seti. you probably just need to reset the project not detach reattach. resetting should get you the files you need

I have not had a workunit in some days, either. A project reset did not fix things. Neither did a reboot. Updated to the latest BOINC version. No joy. Meanwhile, other projects are chugging merrily along.

Every attempt to fetch a file gets a connect() failed error, e.g.:

Try this, in command prompt type ipconfig/flushdns then ipconfig/registerdns and restart your PC.

You do know that rebooting the PC after doing those commands is doing things double? By rebooting the PC you will already flush your local DNS cache.

So the simplest thing which works until the DNS cache is corrupt again is:
Exit BOINC.
do Start->Run, type ipconfig /flushdns, click OK.
Wait a minute.
Restart BOINC.
Instead of Retry download, do BOINC Manager->Advanced view->Advanced->Do network communications.

it wont get the core seti files just keeps backing off

Just wait for the guys at Seti to fix things as it is a problem on their side. It's now 6:57am there, wait another 2 hours for them to come in and look around what must be fixed.
