After running Seti for couple of weeks i decided to try Lunatics Win32 Lunatics' Unified Installer v0.2 optimized application. Now cuda work units after 10 or so seconds go down with "out of memory" errors. What have I done do screw things up like that? Here is what I get when starting Boinc

Not enough GPU memory is available. Turn off all the fancy video stuff in Vista and you should have enough.

Hi MrJeep,
I had the exact same problem as you about 2 weeks ago, except I am using the mobile 8600M GT (also has the exact same memory), on my laptop.
No matter what I disabled I couldn't get it to run without an 'out of memory' error. So I would suggest upgrading your current graphics card if possible to something a bit more sufficient.

Gentleman GOT IT GOING.
After fiddling around a bit I lowered resolution down to 1280X768 and restarted computer. That must have done it as I am processing 1 x 6.08 cuda and 2 x 6.03 work units at this time and no errors yet. Thanks Labbie for your suggestion. Thank you Luke as well. Needless to say this message board rocks !!!!
By the way I am back in the game. Called it quits in June after 10 years but I AM BACK. MR Jeep.

Glad to see you got it running, I need my current resolution on my laptop so lowering it wasn't an option for me.
And by the way, you never really can quit SETI@home. ;).

I had the same problem with an 8600GT card, changed my color depth to 16 and res to 1024X768 and
now it looks like I am not getting the memory errors on CUDA work units.

An example bad work unit

Sorry for all those errors. (time for a new graphics card I guess)

Hi, I also just updated to the Lunatics Unified Installer v0.2, and immediately thereafter BOINC stopped getting new WU's. It says project has no jobs available.

Is there any place I can check so the WU's can resume?

Thats because the splitters have stopped producing WU's. You'll get some when they're up again - hopefully soon...

The place to look is the Server Status page.

I very much doubt there will be any new work until at least 22:00 UTC today, because they do scheduled maintenance on Tuesdays.
