Try from another browser (I have IE, Firefox, Opera, Google Chrome, Apple Safari)
or another computer.

Do they all fail?

It is something in either your browser or antivirus settings as neither I nor anyone else seems to have a problem with the forums there. or at least, no one else we know about at this point.

So do some testing.

The BOINC site is the first one I've encountered having a problem like this. ALL web-sites / forumns (including ALL BOINC project web-sites) that I'm subscribed to let me post without having to log in (unless ALL cookies, or the specific cookie for a specific web-site, are deleted).

If I delete the existing BOINC cookie and return there, a new cookie is generated. The cookie remains after leaving the site. Are you saying this is a cookie privacy issue? My internet privacy is set to HIGH:

-Blocks 3rd party cookies that do not have a compact privacy policy.

-Blocks 3rd party cookies that use personally identifiable info w/out your explicit consent

-blocks 1st party cookies that use personally ID'ble info w/out implicit consent

.

I've had my password reset, I've cleared out the BOINC cookie, my cache has been cleared.

Check your browser, cookie clearances. Is your browser set to accept cookies from the BOINC web site?

welcome to the Seti Forums... I attempted to post on BOINC and it worked fine. So its not the site. I recall seeing this same problem but I cant remember if it was here, BOINC, or the Collatz Forums

I can't get logged in. I did get logged in earlier to make a post concerning a BOINC problem I'm experiencing. But I'm having a problem getting logged in. I get the browser error page that says, "Can't display page". When I hit refresh it tells me "you need to use an account key". So I do and it tells me invalid password. If I use a password I get the "can't display page message."

If I mess around enough, I can get a login that takes me to my account summary page. But when I go to the BOINC forums, and try to post or reply, it takes me to the login screen.

AAAAAArrrrrrrggggggggrgrgrgrgrgrgr. Gr gr gr gr gr...

I've had my password reset, I've cleared out the BOINC cookie, my cache has been cleared.

And STILL no dice.
