Using BOINC and seti@home project i noticed that the only thing 'protecting' my account is my ID number. This number is included in the .XML files in plain text.

I have several computers running in own private network where this is no problem. But before i distribute the client to a 'trusted' network. There could be a smart person within that network that would for some reason want to change my preferences or name or anything else within my profile. This problem is stopping my from moving the rest of my seti@home classic clients to this new platform. So in short. PLEASE ADD PASSWORD PROTECTION TO PROFILES. or any other protection system that would provide the same security.
