You will calculate SETI@home on an ATI GPU ? [..if it will be possible].

* I. YES - I have an ATI GPU
* II. YES - I don't have, but I will buy then an ATI GPU
* III. NO - I don't have an ATI GPU
* IV. NO - I don't have and will not buy an ATI GPU
* V. Maybe - I don't have, but will think about to buy an ATI GPU
* VI. YES - I have current only nVIDIA GPUs, but if the performance is higher I will buy ATI GPUs
* VII. Maybe - I have current only nVIDIA GPUs, but if the performance is higher I will think about to buy ATI GPUs
* VIII. NO - I don't have an ATI GPU, I
will calculate only on my nVIDIA GPU
* IX. Maybe - I have an ATI GPU but I don't know if I'll allow any project to use it for crunching (maybe with explanation why not)

I & VII , as I have, ehh, only 1 system an (cheap=2400XX) ATI card.

The high-end card's from ATI the 4800 series f.i. is capable of more 500GFLOPS.
Can't find the exact figures. ;-)

Sorry for double post, as I wasn't shure ;^)

2600 256mb xt, and yes to crunch. it would however replace a 9400 gt 512 mb.

and it's the hottest card i've ever felt.

I recommend Secunia PSI: http://secunia.com/vulnerability_scanning/personal/
Go Georgia Tech.

I'm voting again, but 1. I just ordered a 5870, (here's hoping it shows up by Christmas) This thing should be faster than a GTX 295 at 65% the power consumption.... 4 of them and a person could catch Vyper...

IV. No, I won't buy ATI anymore. I was using exclusive ATI till I realised that nVidia has a more user oriented policy with CUDA/Physics. I did the switch to nVidia and I have no reasons to switch back. ATI is doing this just because was forced by nVidia, not because they belive in it...

My vote is: I

Have two HD 4770 cards running on MW & Collatz. Would like to be able to use them here too.
On the above 2 projects they're each faster than a GTX 295 and use far less energy.
