I really thought Babylon 5 was under-appreciated during its tenure. This quote reminds me of Seti@home. "Of course it is, for the simple reason that no one else would've ever built a place like this. Humans share one unique quality. They build communities. If the Narns or the Centauri or any other race built a station like this, it would be used only by their own people, but everywhere humans go, they create communities out of diverse and sometimes hostile populations. It is a great gift and a terrible responsibility, one that cannot be abandoned." -- Delenn in Babylon 5:"And Now For a Word" |

I've seen things you people wouldn't believe... One of my many faves.......... All those moments will be lost in time....... "It's too bad she won't live.........but then again, who does?" "Time is simply the mechanism that keeps everything from happening all at once." |

And I just remembered this one, from an engineering conference about 10 years ago. I listened to a department head's proposal, thought about it, and turned to him and with a dead straight face said "Make it so Number One." With an equally dead straight face, he turned to his assistant and said "Make it so Number Two". |

Understanding is a three-edged sword. (Another Kosh quote from B-5. I'd start a marathon of episodes if it weren't for that pesky thing called work...) |

Understanding is a three-edged sword. And from Star Trek II: The Wrath of Khan: (old Klingon proverb): Revenge is a dish best served cold. Oh and James Doohan invented the Klingon language. Savoir-Faire is everywhere! The T1 Trust, T1 Class 4-4-4-4 #5550, America's First HST |

Understanding is a three-edged sword. One from one of my favorite B5 characters... Zathras: Zathras is used to being beast of burden to other people's needs. Very sad life... probably have very sad death, but at least there is symmetry. Calm Chaos Forum...Join Calm Chaos Now |
