Sweden beats Norway in the hockey championships in Kosice, Slovakia. Italia, Austria and Norway zero points, Canada beats Slovakia. All this from Swiss TV, Italian TV ignores hockey.

Sho Hatsuyama tried his best by starting a breakout alone already from the start:)
Needless to say the peloton caught him 75 km from the finish line.
Fernando Gaviria, Colombia, is now the stage winner.
The officials relegated Elia Viviani to last place in the bunch for deviating from his line in the sprint to Ortebello.

My wife is lefthanded like my first son and can write a text with both right and left hands. Many texts by Leonardo are written lefthanded and can by read in a mirror.

Yes. Maybe he was. Who knows.
And now it's believed he had a "claw hand" after an accident that should made him unable to draw and paint and couldn't finish the painting of Mona Lisa for example.
https://www.thelocal.it/20190505/da-vincis-suffered-claw-hand-in-later-life-researchers
But that doesn't make sense to me since I have this problem as well with ulnar palsy as it called.
It doesn't affect the ability of holding brushes or pencils and using them but holding things like plates and palettes (but putting them on a table is quite easy and problem solved) does .
Typing on a keyboard is quite difficult though.
But now there is the "copy and paste" function on computers that I really like:)

Leonardo is the greatest genius who ever lived. But he was also a homosexual, a fact that many tend to ignore.

His first race in a Grand Tour and he wins:)
btw. They passed Vinci today, birthplace of Leonardo da Vinci.
Tomorrow the race will start from there.
It's included in the Giro to mark the 500th anniversary of his death.

Someone found two movie reels recorded in color by an Agfa team showing Fausto Coppi, the winner of the 1940 Giro after a fall by Gino Bartali. Then the war interrupted the Giro until 1946. Thet say the RAI will show the reels on T V after remastering them with digital means.

Unusual to start a Giro with an ITT race with a challenging climb.
The last 2 km featured gradients of up to 16% !

I have enlisted one PC in Science United to see what it does. It downloaded Asteroid@home and all running CPU tasks were suspended because the CPU was busy. Evidently Asteroid was not considered a BOINC tassk. Then I killed it and let all BOINC tasks complete save one Einstein@home task. Now the PC is running Milkyway@home, with GPU tasks taking a few minutes on my nVidia GTX 1050 Ti board. It also runs Cosmology@home on VirtualBox 6.06 but it stopped soon because there were 4 Virtual Machines and my A10-6700 CPU has only 2 cores and 4 logical processors, according to the Windows Task Manager. It is running Windows 8.1 because, after a crash due to a bad RAM module, the only repair disk I had created was on Windows 8, soon updated to 8.1. But I am satisfied with it.

The reason is not the crash but he has failed to recover from a bone edema in his sacrum.
Movistar said Valverde will now make a careful recovery before working on his form “to get back to his best form in the upcoming weeks and start building up for the second half of his 2019 season”.

Alejandro Valverde will not be in the Giro. He is suffering from a fall in the Liege-Bastotgne-Liege.
